There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.

At evening when its dusk,

The sky begins to grey.

It’s the start of a night,

At the end of a day.

The horizon turns pink,

And the sun in the sky,

Creeps over the hills,

Before saying goodbye.

Soon the sky’s black,

The airs cold and still.

Mum yells ” come inside,

And get out of the chill”.

One wish.

I stare at a lonesome star that shines

Through the night,

Answering the dreams of many,

With a magic ray of light.

But when i have one wish of love,

to brighten up my days,

The star fades into darkness,

And a voice within me says,

“you can’t fix your problems

by reaching to the sky,

cos’ love will come to those who wait

And last until you die.”

So then i close my curtain,

Not feeling much at ease,

For i have waited long enough,

To find a love to seize.

They say it’s better,

To have loved and lost,

Than to never loved at all,

And i am prepared to take the challenge,

When cupid decides to call.

This is me I love to have fun and make people laugh , i love music and having a chat with my friends and love to write poetry in my spare time… I have a beautiful 4 year old daughter Alyssa who is my world . My partner Daniel and his daughter Kate who is 11 makes our awesome foursome and i could not live without them
